The Hanapēpē Sunshine Market will close its operation on Nov. 30 and its farmers will relocate to the Hale Puna Farmers’ Market in Waimea starting on Dec. 7.

The Hale Puna Farmers’ Market occurs every Thursday, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., which follows the same schedule as the current Sunshine Market in Hanapēpē.

“After years of serving as a beloved staple in the Hanapēpē community, the Hanapēpē Sunshine Market has decided to merge with the established Hale Puna Farmers’ Market in Waimea as they share in the same commitment to emphasize sustainability, support local, engage with our community, and improve the overall experience for vendors and customers,” said Office of Economic Development Director Nalani Brun. “This merger will result in a larger and more diverse vendor community, offering a broader range of fresh and unique products for the West Side community to enjoy.”
