Kaua‘i police seek armed and dangerous robbery, auto theft suspect
Kaua‘i police are looking for a Big Island man who is a suspect in connection with a robbery and auto theft earlier this week in Līhu‘e.
Sateki Nisa, 27, of Pāhoa is 6-foot-1 and 240 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous. The public is advised not to approach him.
According to a preliminary report, Kaua‘i police received a report of a robbery that occurred 8:40 p.m. Nov. 13 at Ahukini Landing in Līhu‘e. A man fitting Nisa’s description held the operator of a Toyota Corolla at gunpoint and took off with the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
The next day, Nov. 14, the suspect was observed in the stolen Toyota Corolla near the 5-mile marker on Kūhiō Highway, around the south entrance to Leho Drive. The suspect pulled to the side of the road, exited the vehicle and fled into the bushes.
Kaua‘i police pursued the suspect in the heavily wooded area, but could not locate him.
