Flood advisory issued throughout Kaua‘i

Due to excessive rainfall, the National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory throughout Kaua‘i, which is in effect till 7:45 a.m.

At 4:10 a.m., radar indicated heavy rain over the Garden Isle. Rain was falling at a rate of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour. Stream and river levels remain elevated as additional shower bands continue to move over the island.

Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas and streams is expected. River and stream flows are elevated.
