Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: Sept. 2-8

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation has released weekly lane closures for Sept. 2-8.

There will be no closures Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day. Schedules can change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —

1) PUHI TO KOLOA
Right lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kikowaena Street and Puuana Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560) —

1) HANAMĀʻULU (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible in either direction between Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, on Tuesday, Sept. 5 through the morning of Friday, Sept. 8 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for road reconstruction and temporary striping.

2) WAILUA
Alternating single lane closure in the northbound direction, in the vicinity of North Leho Drive and Kuamoʻo Road, from Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge repair work along the Wailua Planatation Bridge, also known as Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial bridge.

3) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)
Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaʻa Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

4) WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)
Two lane closure possible in either direction between Kuamoʻo Road and Kapaʻa Bypass, Tuesday, Sept. 5 through the morning of Friday, Sept. 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for lane smoothness grinding and striping work.

5) KAPAʻA TO KEĀLIA
Right lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Niu Street and Keālia Beach Park on Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

6) KEĀLIA TO ANAHOLA (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 5 through the morning of Friday, Sept. 8 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving and striping.

7) MOLOA‘A
Single lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 16 and 17, from Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

8) PRINCEVILLE
Single lane closure possible in either direction between Ohiki Road and Hanalei Plantation Road from Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for installation of project signs, setting up of staging area and tree trimming.
