Kauaʻi Police Department hosting Touch-a-Truck at Vidinha Stadium in Līʻhue
The Kaua’i Police Department is hosting Touch-a-Truck on July 8, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium in Līhu‘e.
The event is free and intended for all ages.
Attendees can climb in, learn about and take photos with a variety of utility vehicles on the island. Agencies participating include: the Kaua’i Fire Department, Līhu‘e Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting unit, Transportation Agency, Department of Public Works and American Medical Response.
The event will be held at the south end of the Vidinha Stadium parking lot. General parking will be available on the north side of the lot. More than 500 people attended the event last year.
“This year we have a larger area, more trucks and departments involved, and it’s a great opportunity to learn about the people who help the community,” said Assistant Chief Mark Ozaki with the Kauaʻi Police Department.
Attendees should bring water and sunscreen.
