The state Department of Health reported 3,189 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, Aug. 10, bringing the statewide total to 332,822. Fourteen new fatalities were reported.
A total of 162 new infections were reported Wednesday on Kaua‘i. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 230,797
Hawaiʻi: 37,096
Maui: 37,892
Kaua‘i: 16,749
Moloka‘i: 1,211
Lana‘i: 774
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 8,303
There are currently 142 individuals hospitalized statewide for the virus. At least 1,606 have died since the pandemic began. Hospitalization data is updated Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays.
