The state Department of Health reported 5,482 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, June 22, bringing the statewide total to 303,333. Fifteen new fatalities were reported.
A total of 326 new infections were reported Wednesday on Kaua‘i. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 210,633
Hawaiʻi: 33,566
Maui: 34,506
Kaua‘i: 15,408
Moloka‘i: 1,132
Lana‘i: 762
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 7,326
Of those total cases, 9,881 required hospitalization, with 218 currently hospitalized. At least 1,489 have died since the pandemic began. Hospitalization data is updated Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays.
