8 Deaths, 289 New Cases Reported Thursday

The state Department of Health reported 289 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 235,124. Eight new fatalities were reported.

A total of 8 new infections were identified Thursday on the Garden Isle.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 163,111
Hawaiʻi: 25,675
Maui: 27,801
Kaua‘i: 11,336
Moloka‘i: 934
Lana‘i: 620
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 5,647

A total of 8,213 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,312 have died.
