Nearly 1K New COVID Cases Reported Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 961 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 95,254. Two new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
Kauaʻi County has the second-highest test positivity rate in the state behind Honolulu County at 3.1% and a seven-day case average of 12.
The state’s daily case average is now 726, with a test positivity rate of 7.5%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 65,803
Hawaiʻi: 12,088
Maui: 10,461
Kaua‘i: 3,393
Moloka‘i: 261
Lana‘i: 151
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 3,097
A total of 5,184 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,074 have died.
