12 New COVID-19 Cases Reported on Kauaʻi

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 150 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 89,379. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 12 new infections were identified on the Garden Isle.

The state’s seven-day average is now 129 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2.0%. The seven-day case count average for the Kauaʻi stands at 10 new cases a day. Kauaʻi County’s test positivity rate is at 2.1%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 60,643
Hawaiʻi: 11,869
Maui: 10,181
Kaua‘i: 3,279
Moloka‘i: 255
Lana‘i: 145
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 3,007

A total of 5,126 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,058 have died.
