126 New COVID Cases Confirmed Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 126 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 87,898. One new COVID-related fatality was reported.
Kauaʻi County continues to have the highest test positivity rate in the state at 3.6% with a seven-day case average of 16.
The state’s seven-day average is now 83 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 59,673
Hawai‘i: 11,725
Maui: 10,024
Kaua‘i: 3,156
Moloka‘i: 245
Lana‘i: 145
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,930
A total of 5,045 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,027 have died.
