DOH: Cumulative COVID Deaths Now Exceed 1K Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 218 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 86,522. Four new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

Kauaʻi County continues to have the highest test positivity rate in the state at 2.8% and a seven-day case average of 14.

The state’s seven-day average is now 115 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%.

A total of 4,960 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,002 have died.
