State’s 7-Day Case Average Drops Below 200
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 201 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 81,087. Seven new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 39 new infections were identified on the Big Island Friday.
The state’s seven-day average is now 199 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 56,213
Hawai‘i: 10,391
Maui: 9,241
Kaua‘i: 2,380
Moloka‘i: 232
Lana‘i: 140
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,490
A total of 4,477 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 833 have died.
