DOH Reports 279 New COVID Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 279 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 79,851. Twelve new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 283 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3.7%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Out-of-State: 2,439
A total of 4,352 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 801 have died.
To date, a total of 2,012,454 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 68% of the population fully vaccinated and 76.1% having received at least one shot.
