DOH Reports 13 COVID-Related Deaths Wednesday
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 230 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 78,874. Thirteen new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 320 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 4.1%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 54,878
Hawai‘i: 9,950
Maui: 9,030
Kaua‘i: 2,236
Moloka‘i: 224
Lana‘i: 139
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,417
A total of 4,310 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 770 have died.
To date, a total of 2,004,407 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 67.8% of the population fully vaccinated and 76% having received at least one shot.
