DOH Reports 499 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 499 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 68,764. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 706 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.2%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 48,240
Maui: 8,033
Hawai‘i: 8,395
Kaua‘i: 1,586
Moloka‘i: 166
Lana‘i: 134
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,210
A total of 3,687 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 626 have died.
To date, a total of 1,882,907 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 64.4% of the population fully vaccinated at 72.6% who have received at least one shot.
