DOH Reports 455 New COVID Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 455 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 63,957. Thirteen new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is now 858 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.9%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 45,044
Maui: 7,426
Hawai‘i: 7,698
Kaua‘i: 1,327
Moloka‘i: 162
Lana‘i: 132
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,157
A total of 3,576 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 602 have died.
To date, a total of 1,869,996 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 63.4% of the population fully vaccinated at 71.6% who have received at least one shot.
