DOH Reports 565 New COVID Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 565 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 57,235. One new COVID-related death was reported.
A total of 17 new infections were identified on the Kauaʻi Tuesday.
The state’s two-week average is now 688 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 8.3%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 40,421
Maui: 6,760
Hawai‘i: 6,656
Kaua‘i: 1,048
Moloka‘i: 154
Lana‘i: 126
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,070
A total of 3,220 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 565 have died.
To date, a total of 1,833,678 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 62% of the population fully vaccinated at 70.4% who have received at least one shot.
