4 New COVID-Related Deaths Confirmed Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department Health reported 845 new COVID-19 cases as of Friday, bringing the statewide total to 54,443. Four new COVID-related deaths were reported.
A total of 26 new infections were identified on Kauaʻi Friday.
The state’s two-week average is now 661 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.8%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Hawai‘i: 6,165
Kaua‘i: 945
Lana‘i: 121
Moloka‘i: 138
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,042
A total of 3,149 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 562 have died.
To date, a total of 1,815,801 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 61.6% of the population fully vaccinated at 69.7% who have received at least one shot.
