DOH Reports 26 New COVID-19 Cases on Kauaʻi
The Hawaiʻi Department Health reported 647 new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 52,846. Two new COVID-related deaths were reported.
A total of 26 new infections were identified on Kauaʻi Wednesday.
The state’s two-week average is now 680 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.5%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 37,653
Maui: 6,183
Hawai‘i: 5,840
Kaua‘i: 894
Lana‘i: 120
Moloka‘i: 131
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,025
A total of 3,078 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 554 have died.
To date, a total of 1,804,695 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 61.5% of the population fully vaccinated at 69.4% who have received at least one shot.
