Viral Spike Continues Across Hawai‘i
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 100 new cases of coronavirus statewide Tuesday, bringing the overall total to 39,486. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Following six consecutive days of case counts in the triple-digits, the state’s two-week average is now 113 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3.5%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 28,108
Maui: 3,988
Hawai‘i: 3,418
Kaua‘i: 473
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 57
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,488
A total of 2,585 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 523 have died.
To date, a total of 1,731,897 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide. DOH reports that 59.4% of residents are fully vaccinated, while 65.8% have received at least one dose.
