DOH Reports 62 New Cases of COVID
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 62 new cases of coronavirus Thursday. The statewide total is now 36,793. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Nine new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Thursday. The state’s two-week average is 51 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 0.9%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,632
Maui: 3,744
Hawai‘i: 2,994
Kaua‘i: 323
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,220
A total of 2,377 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 505 have died.
To date, a total of 1,592,739 vaccine doses have been administered statewide.
