Health Dept. Confirms 33 New COVID Cases
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 33 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday. The statewide total is now 36,685. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Two new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Tuesday. The state’s two-week average is 46 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 0.9%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,587
Maui: 3,720
Hawai‘i: 2,980
Kaua‘i: 322
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,214
A total of 2,369 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 505 have died.
To date, a total of 1,573,271 vaccine doses have been administered statewide.
