Hawai‘i Surpasses 36K Cases of COVID-19 Thursday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 58 new cases of coronavirus Thursday. The statewide total is now 36,032. Two new COVID-related deaths were also reported.
The state’s two-week average is 49 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.0%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,277
Maui: 3,627
Hawai‘i: 2,806
Kaua‘i: 315
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 54
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,178
A total of 2,313 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 498 have died.
To date, a total of 1,505,110 shots of vaccine have been administered statewide.
