COVID Case Count in Hawai‘i Climbs Above 33K
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 115 new cases of coronavirus on Friday. The statewide total is now 33,036. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 93 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 25,306
Maui: 3,475
Hawai‘i: 2,725
Kaua‘i: 295
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 37
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,086
A total of 2,177 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 486 have died.
To date, a total of 1,274,050 doses of vaccination have been administered statewide.
