Fourth Day of Triple Digit Cases
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 102 new cases of coronavirus Sunday, raising the statewide total to 29,408. No new COVID-related deaths were also reported.
After several weeks of reporting double-digit cases daily, Sunday marks the fourth consecutive day the state has registered more than 100 new cases of the virus. The state’s two-week average is 83 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.
No new cases were identified on Kaua‘i Sunday, according to DOH statistics.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 22,924

Hawai‘i: 2,447
Kaua‘i: 189
Lana‘i: 110
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 925
A total of 1,978 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 462 people have died.
