Another Male Visitor Diagnosed With COVID-19
The Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
Wednesday’s case is an adult male visitor whose source of infection is related to mainland travel. Both new cases in the past two days were identified via the Enhanced Movement Quarantine or “Resort Bubble” post-travel test program.
All active cases are in isolation. Close contacts are being identified, directed to quarantine, and offered testing.
Wednesday’s case brings the number of on-island active cases to two, with 212 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 181 confirmed locally, one probable, and 30 positive cases diagnosed elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.
