An immediate water conservation request is been issued for customers in Princeville.

The order was issued by Princeville Utilities Co. Inc. Additionally, the Kaua‘i County Department of Water is asking its customers located on Anini Road, Kalihiwai Valley Estates and a portion of Kuhio Highway, near Hanalei Plantation Road, to abide by the conservation request.

PUCI and DOW customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes until the notice is lifted.

Water conservation measures also include refraining from car washing, recreational water uses and turning off appliances that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems.

PUCI’s water conservation notice was implemented to avoid a water outage while they work to address an issue affecting their pump stations. An update will be provided when the conservation notice is lifted.
